Hey, everybody! My name is Alex, but people call me by a variety of nicknames: Bro, AleBro, Brovont, Ali and Javier to name a few. I am from Wakarusa, IN. I am currently finishing my last semester of my undergraduate degree at Bethel University as well as doing ministry at Bethel and at my home church of Nappanee Missionary Church in the Middle School and College Age Ministries.
I have a growing passion for the Scriptures, being changed by them as they fill my mind and heart, and through teaching and preaching I desire to help other believers know the abounding richness of the Scriptures for themselves. Jesus is the foundation of my life and the Rock I run back to every day. The past four years, since being in college, have been an expansive faith journey knowing who God is, who I am in Him, and His destiny for my life. The best times of connection that Jesus and I have are through private study of His Word and in transparent, intimate prayer. In the past couple years, I’ve come to be more and more aware of how God’s hands are all over in my daily life in the creation, in moments and through the people around me and how He is constantly working all things in my life according to the purpose of His Will. This awareness has led to greater trust and confidence in God and myself as I constantly see God’s wonderful, boundless works in my life.
I met Keagan and Charity the first time I moved to their hometown for a summer internship. I knew immediately I liked Keagan because of His very evident relationship with God and his sensitivity to the Spirit’s voice. I quickly became close with Keagan and now I always refer to him as one of my closest brothers in the faith. And with Charity, you can never get enough of her joyful enthusiasm that shifts the atmosphere of any room. I’ve told them this before but they are an inspiring couple and I’m extremely blessed to have the privilege of being their friend.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me!
